Tinker & Spell
Description
Tinker and Spell was a playable demo developed between 2019 and 2022, while working at Golden Age Studios (in Adelaide, South Australia).
Although the project did not secure funding and the full game was never brought to market, the demo earned a strong reputation at events like PAX (Australia) and Gamescom (Germany), for its fast-paced combat, responsive character controls, and a large, vibrant world that felt alive.
Work on another prototype began called Seeker Neeko. This focused more on the creature taming and collectables elements:

Designed and implemented a versatile AI framework for creatures and NPCs.

Developed custom editor features to guide creation of scenes, events and AI.

Cross platform input (PC/consoles).

Integrated 2D rigidbody player controller with an adaptable camera event-based system.

Scene management, saving and loading.

Worked with the artist to design responsive user interfaces and implemented the functionality.

Implemented post processing, particle systems and shaders.

Integrated FMOD and worked with a team of sound engineers and musicians to implement 2D and 3D sounds.
